Monday – Complete presentations on “All About Me Collage”. Students will become familiar with the social studies book by completing a book scavenger hunt.
Homework – None
Tuesday – Check the book scavenger hunt with students. Students will begin composing a globe to introduce map skills. We will discuss components of a map, globe, and atlas.
Homework – None
Wednesday – Students will finish their globes. We will discuss latitude and longitude and begin completing a handout over both.
Homework – None
Thursday – Guidance from 2:05 – 2:35. Students will finish the latitude and longitude handout and we will check it together. We will review map skills.
Homework – None
Friday – Students will begin planning a road trip somewhere in the U.S. The destination has to be somewhere never visited. On the way, you have to make 3 stops. Each student will have to compose an itinerary of what they will see at the 3 stops, what route will they take, about how many miles it will be, and direction.
