Homework – Final draft of personal narrative due on Thursday.
Wednesday - Complete a brief quiz on the elements of a short story. Discuss the sequence of events in a story using the plot pyramid. After reading a children’s book to the class, students will identify the story elements using the plot pyramid. Grammar - Begin discussing Verbs, page 312 - 315, Action Verbs and Linking Verbs. Thursday – THINKLINK TESTING!! Grammar - Review Action Verbs and Linking Verbs. Complete Exercise 1 page 315, Identifying Action Verbs, as guided practice. Complete workbook pages 13 – 14, The Verb, individually. (6.3.4)
Homework – Grammar – Workbook pages 15-16, Action Verbs.
Friday – Go through and discuss the questions and answers to the THINK LINK test taken on Thursday.
