Monday – Labor Day!!  NO SCHOOL!!!

Tuesday – Complete a brief quiz on the elements of a short story. Discuss the sequence of events in a story using the plot pyramid. After reading a children’s book to the class, students will identify the story elements using the plot pyramid.  Grammar – Begin discussing Verbs, page 312 – 315, Action Verbs and Linking Verbs. Homework – Writing – Final draft of personal narrative due on Thursday.

Wednesday – Grammar – Review Action Verbs and Linking Verbs. Complete Exercise 1 page 315, Identifying Action Verbs, as guided practice.  Complete workbook pages 13 – 14, The Verb, individually.  Writing – Review proofreading marks for peer editing. (6.3.4)

Homework – Writing – Final draft of personal narrative is due tomorrow.

Thursday – THINKLINK TESTING!!! All Classes. Grammar – Review action verbs by completing pages 15 – 16 in the workbook, Action Verbs.  (6.3.4)

Friday – Go through and discuss the questions and answers to the THINK LINK test taken on Thursday.

Tuesday: Students will finish their trip to another country and present the itinerary and details to the class. (6.3.1)

Wednesday: TCAP review day. We will complete a series of practice TCAP questions.

Thursday: We will begin our geographical dictionary of key words. Students will be forming their own definition of each word, using the word in a sentence, and illustrating a picture of each word. A rubric will be given to follow.(6.3.2)

Friday: We will finish our timelines and present. (6.3.2)
