Book Report - 3rd Nine Weeks
3rd Nine Weeks Book Report
Choose a fiction book of your choice with at least 100 pages. (6th grade appropriate) You have approximately three weeks to read the book completely. We will be writing the book report and illustrating the bookmark in class.
Due dates:
Wednesday, March 5, 2008 - Students will write a book report in class and begin illustrating the bookmark.
Thursday, March 6, 2008 - Students will finish illustrating the bookmark in class.
Friday, March 7, 2008 – Students will present their book reports in class.
1. Return this sheet by Friday, February 15, 2008, signed by a parent. (10 points)
2. Written report will include the following: (65 points)
Title and author (5 points)
Main characters (5 points)
Setting (time and place) (5 points)
3 paragraph summary of your book (45 points – 15 points per paragraph)
Your reflection – You will tell if you enjoyed the book and explain why or why not. (5 points)
3. Bookmark – I will give you the poster paper cut to the appropriate size. Your decorating should be colorful and neat. It should illustrate the summary you wrote on your written report. Your bookmark must include the title and
author of your book. Your name should be on the back. (25 points total)
